Mudjimba Island, also known as "Old Woman Island," is a significant site for the Gubbi Gubbi (Kabi Kabi) people, located off the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. According to Gubbi Gubbi oral history, the island is the resting place of a giant ancestral spirit, symbolizing the deep connection between the people and the land. Mudjimba Island Timelapse
The goal of the timelapse was to capture the moon rising over the island from Marcoola Beach. Using the photopills app the location on the beach was determined to align the rising moon with the island outline.
