NGC 3247 - Whiring Devish Nebula

NGC 3247, commonly known as the Whirling Dervish Nebula, is an emission nebula located approximately 3,400 light-years away in the constellation Hydra. The nebula’s distinctive spiral shape, resembling the whirling motion of a dervish dancer, is a result of the dynamic interactions between the stellar winds and the surrounding gas.
