M8 Lagoon Nebula

The Lagoon Nebula (M8), located approximately 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius, is a large emission nebula and one of the brightest star-forming regions in the sky. It is home to numerous young, hot stars and a complex mix of gas and dust. The nebula’s intricate structure, illuminated by the intense radiation from these stars, provides valuable insights into the processes of stellar formation and the evolution of nebulae.
